'When I create I burn' - Acrylics and Acrylic pouring paint on w:76.2cm x h:60.96cm (30 x 24 inch) canvas. This one is for the creatives and my first ever painted self portrait. I wanted to describe that feeling when you come up with an idea. For me it flashes inside me so quickly and it feels like it's burning until I get it out. I also wanted a lot of meaning in the objects in the painting. The candle stands for truth and knowledge, becoming enlightened...going through the door when we push creative boundaries and open doors to further sight and perspective. I was both scared and excited to do the fire as an acrylic pour. But it's a beautiful process of risk taking and letting a piece flow. Watch how I created this piece on my Tiktok or Insta accounts.
